Ep. 64 - Neil O'Sullivan, the CEO & Co-Founder of Nimbus Co
Today we are joined by Neil O’Sullivan, the Co-Founder and CEO of Nimbus Co - Australia's first national infrared sauna studio and wellness centre, who specialise in preventative health and wellbeing.
So far, Neil and his co-founder (and wife!) Su, have opened 4 studios across New South Vales and Victoria, with plans for further expansion in the works…and why wouldn’t you when the health and wellness market, which was already valued at more than 4.3 trillion U.S. dollars back in 2020, is set to continue to increase to almost seven trillion U.S. dollars by 2025, with Millennial’s prioritising their health and wellness more than any other generation.
It’s interesting to note that in a recent report conducted by the Global Wellness Institute, measuring and comparing the wellness economies of 150 nations, Australia came in 10th in the world with a total spend of US$84 billion, moving up to the number six position in the wellness spend per capita stakes, forking out an average of $5,239 Australian per year on wellness services.
During our conversation with Neil we discuss the personal motivation behind the creation of Nimbus Co and the struggles of starting a business, the impact of covid and how they managed to stay afloat, the growing trend of #SelfCare and how education plays such a fundamental role. We also talk about the opening of their latest studio here in Manly and the importance of understand the community, plus, their plans for the future.
