Coming up on today’s show we’re joined by Zhoe Low, the Global General Manager of July – the insanely popular travel luggage and accessories company, which was founded in Melbourne in 2018.
July was co-founded by Athan Didaskalou and Richard Li, with the intention of competing with the likes of Samsonite and Rimowa. Both had successful business history behind them, Athan having founded cult favourite Thieves Coffee, and Richard was the Co-Founder of online furniture company, BROSA. But in November of 2019, they decided to bring Zhoe onboard to manage all of July’s marketing, just months before the world of travel was shattered.
During our conversation with Zhoe today we discuss how she and the July team got through the pandemic and what they did with their down time, we also talk about the brands international expansion and how the customer differs so greatly across the globe.
Zhoe also talks to us about what sets July apart from its competitors, what’s in the pipeline for this incredibly agile business and what she believes the future of retail might look like.
